BISSELL Easy Sweep Cordless Rechargeable Sweeper, 15D1A

For what it is, it's pretty good.
I grew up in an era when not everyone had a vacuum cleaner. Most of the time we used what was known as a carpet sweeper, and they were okay, they did a pretty decent job. The Bissell sweeper is like the offspring of the carpet sweeper by a vacuum cleaner, essentially a carpet sweeper with suction. And I have to admit it does a pretty good job so long as you're not using it on anything with much nap. It does bare floors quite well, though don't even think about trying to sweep up anything much bigger than the occasional bit of kibble. It'll come shooting out the back at you. It also does a surprisingly good job of cleaning the cat hair off my Flor carpet tiles, but of course there's almost no nap to them at all. Area rug? Not so much. The bristles get stuck. The suction still works pretty well, but it's not strong enough to suck up the worst of the dirt.

It holds a charge pretty well, and with the exception of corners and baseboard areas, it gets into most spots...

Disappointed after time.
I have previously used the swivel sweeper. I have arthritis and it is difficult for me to tote out a heavy vacuum every time I need to make a quick pick up. I also have tile floors in the kitchen and its inconvenient to use a regular vacuum. I have gone through 3 swivel sweepers each with defects, although I love the premise of it. I spent hours reading reviews and looking for a sweeper of comparable size. When I saw the Bissell the name alone drew me, because we have a Bissell upright and it has been a outstanding vaccuum. So I have had the Bissell sweep cordless rechargable sweeper for over a month now, and the battery has not worn down yet, it has picked up all kinds of dust and articles and is easy to empty. I find it made well, and it is great for quick pick ups. I am not disappointed in the quality, as I was with previous sweepers, and I would recommend this for small vacuuming jobs on the carpet or tiles. It picks up equally well on both. I am glad Amazon has a review...

Flimsy and Hard to Control...
I was really looking forward to this little sweeper. I thought it would be perfect for my tile kitchen/dinning area and small area rug under my table...not so.

The entire product is extremely lightweight and has an overall flimsy feel to it. I'm not sure how long the handle is going to last, but I give it a month...2 tops. The head swivels...a LOT. While a swivel head is nice, this thing is all over the place. You couldn't get this thing to go in a straight line if your life depended on it. Not the end of the world, but it makes it very awkward when trying to do a quick sweep of the kitchen.

As for the area rug, this is pretty much useless. It's a low pile rug, yet the sweeper pretty much comes to a stop as soon as it hits it. If I lift the whole machine up a bit it will vacuum, but the slightest pressure and the brush stops spinning. The tray is very, very small and shallow, so this is best for cleaning a very small space.

Honestly, I would have to...
