GE WB21X5301 Stove, Oven, Range Sensor

Oven probe
Exact replacement for my GE oven, the oven would only heat to 250 although it would register 350 or whatever we set it at, but after a couple of days of food not cooking thoroughly I realized we had a temp problem. I bought a high heat oven thermometer to confirm the problem, then ordered this probe and problem fixed. Now the high heat thermometer and oven probe are within a couple of degrees of each other.

Oven Sensor fixes problem
The infamous F2 error code on my GE oven (1993 vintage) gave me fits for a year or more until I finally did the research and bought a GE WB21x5301 Oven Sensor, a 6 inch rod with a thermocouple inside that senses and reports temperature excesses. It was erroneously reporting temperture excess and shutting down my oven in the middle of a pizza bake or roast. I found the part number on a Sears parts website but didn't like the $80 price tag. I used the part number to find the part on Amazon for less than $45. Installation for my model required that I pull the oven out and take part of the back off to get to the wire nuts that wouldn't go through the hole in front of back of oven. This part came with a quick-connect plug, which I had to cut off and strip the wires to accept the wire nuts. There is no polarity so it didn't matter which way I connected it. Bottom line is the oven works fine, no F2s and wife is happy. She baked a killer bananna bread today. Amazon has always come...

GE WB21X5301 Stove , Oven Range sensor
This is a good , less expensive replacement for the more expensive sensors. On my stove I had to modify the tip slightly. But if you know what a sensor is , in the first place, it should be really easy to install. Not to mention not having to pay a $200 repair bill

Fagor 12 Quart Halogen Tabletop Oven

Cooks great. Handle is weak. Breaks easily
I am rating this 3 stars because it cooks very well, crisps the outside of foods and cooks fast. BUT, it doesn't get 5 stars because the attachment of the top handle just isn't robust enough and it is likely to break. The lid is heavy. With my first one of these, the handle attachment to the lid broke on the second day. When I got it fixed, the other side of the handle attachment broke a few days later. I consider it to be a design flaw. The handle itself is a bit weak and it attaches to the lid with 2 little plastic 'knobs' that insert into the lid. But they really are not designed strong enough our thick enough and they break off. If they would design the handle to be stronger, they would have a much better product. If yours breaks, they can send you a replacement, if you keep your information and order number AND YOU MAY ALSO NEED THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING AND SHIPPING BOX, SO SAVE THEM. If it is out of warranty, I don't think the handle would be too hard to fix by drilling...

This is a wonderful cooker! I use it every day.
I saw the Fagor 12 Quart Halogen Tabletop oven on QVC. I saw it on Amazon for a great price, and no shipping! I was wondering if this was another gimmick. I use it to make dinners every evening for my husband and I. The meat is never dry and it tastes delicious. I love cooking again because of the shorter cooking time and the cleanup is a breeze. We are eating healthier now, and the food tastes amazing. Fagor is a pretty good brand, and I wanted to simplify my life....It can't get any simpler than this. :-)
I'm trying all kinds of foods and with great success!

Low Quality Control
I purchased the Secura Halogen Oven along with the Fagor Halogen Oven. My first purchase was the Secura model, but after doing a little research and comparing specs I noticed that Fagor model was essentially the same oven without certain connivence features (such as a removable electrical cord). The Fagor was nearly 25% cheaper so I opted for it and was going to return the Secura box un-opened. Due to mishaps by Fedex, which have turned out to be a blessing in disguise, I ended up with both ovens at the same time. I first opened and tried the Fagor model, because this was the oven I planned to keep. After cleaning the oven as instructed by the manufacturer, I noticed the convection and heating process of the Fagor: theres a halogen bulb that produces heat and a fan motor that creates convection by circulating air. When you clean the oven as instructed a small amount of smoke or steam is created inside the oven and you can see the airflow of heated air. So far so good, but when...

Emerson Fabric Steamer

Waste of money
I was skeptical when my wife picked out a cheap steamer, but we just need it to steam a few dress shirts so i thought we'd give it a shot. Excuse my language but the thing sucks!!!

I got it, filled it to the line and plugged it in, worked great...for 2 full minutes. I couldn't get it to heat up or steam the rest of the day.

My wife tried it again a few days later to no avail.

I just tried it once more, i just needed to steam this shirt i was going to wear today...plugged it in, turned it on, and bam it started heating up right away. I thought great, it wasn't a waste of money after all. I got almost 1 sleeve steamed when the steam quit coming and the steamer cooled off. Now i can't get it to turn on again.

So i guess if you know what shirt you are going to wear in 2 weeks and can steam 1 part of it each day for the next 10 or 12 days in the allotted 2 minutes of run time per day for this piece of garbage then it's a steal, as it's only $12...

Half a use!!!!
I received this as a Christmas gift from a pharmacy chain. I finally had something that needed to be steamed and I pulled out my little steamer. It won't stop leaking after steaming half a dress! What a waste!!

Big dissapointment
Bought this at the local drugstore. Like so many other reviews here, the thing leaked like crazy, hot water all over the place. What a huge dissapointment, wish I had read the reviews here before bothering with the thing.

Boveda 75% Humidity - 12 Pack

expensive, but awesome for the lazy cigar smoker!
While I admit Boveda packets are the snobby way to care for our humidors ( they are ALOT more expensive then simple sterile water and gel solutions) they are so much simpler to maintain.
Just pop the necessary number into your humidor, I have found in my home with forced air heat that 4 packets work best in my small humidor (it holds 150 cigars) I put 2 in the bottom area and 2 in the top and they last about 50 days. I do not have to constantly top off the moisture as I do with the gel containers and it does hold the humidity between 72-74% on average.
If you have some extra money to spend I definately suggest using these as they are perfect for the lazy smoker who does not want to bother with weekly fillings of other humidity sources.

Brainless Humidification of Your Sticks
This is the easiest way to keep your sticks optimally moist. No fuss, no worries.

However, they are expensive. Its like a 'Dixie Cup', you 'use it' and throw it away. You can't wash it, and use it again.

Because, I want to smoke my cigars, and not be over-involved in the Heating, Ventilation, and Cooling of my Humidor, these are worth it to me.

These things just work
I bought these to help keep my humidor humidified and for use in my mobile humidor. Our house is tremendously dry due to use of a dehumidifier, so my humidor dries out very quickly. If I throw one of these in my humidor I can rapidly tell how fast moisture seeps out, one is only lasting about 2-3 weeks. It's a great plus to understand my humidor needs help, but I'm not sure I want to start using these to maintain it. Overall, they seem to work just fine, can't attest to how precise it works.

Whirlpool 4396838RC Dishwasher Rack Repair Kit, White

Does what it's supposed to
I used this on an older dishwasher that already had a lot of rusting and after two coats it seems to be holding up. The only complaint I have is that I wish the paint was a little thicker so it could wrap around trouble spots a little better. Kit comes with a built in brush (like a nail polish bottle)and end caps.

Whirlpool Dishwasher Rack Repair Kit
I was planning to buy a new dishwasher to replace my old dishwasher because of a rusty dish rack. I was searching for a product that could repair the dish rack first before spending for a new dishwasher and I came to this product and tried it. Well the vinyl touch up is about 4oz. and the tine tips is 150pcs. which is more than enough for my needs. The secret for a successful repair is to remove all the rust and I used a circular steel brush (like this one "Hobart 770390 Circular Shank Power Brush, 3-CIR/CRS") with my drill and this "Ingersoll-Rand Die Grinder Stones" which really helps. I triple coat the rack and it looks like new. Take your time and do not rush your work, because at the end your satisfaction comes from how well you did your job. Great product!

Sort of pricey for what I got, jury still out on effetiveness
Four ounce bottle of vinyl paint and 60 or so 1/8" caps made for the tine ends for ~$24 dollars, not a good value for dollar spent. I have a 10 year old Whirlpool dishwasher which is in very good working order, (runs w/o incident, cleans well, low noise). Amongst its minor issues is a soap dispensor lid which doesn't open ( so I don't snap it shut afer adding the detergent, the clear film over the operating mode selection buttons cracked and wore thru after 2 years of use, and the vinyl covered steel dish holding rack started wearing thru about a year ago. The rusted wire started depositing rust stains on the cleaned dishes recently so I sought a fix. My thoughts of an out-right rack replacement were dashed when I found the price to be about $150 including shipping. A new similar model dishwasher was about $350. After some research I came across this recoating product. I bougth the whirlpool labeled version thinking it might be more taylored to my appliance. After cleaning...

VacMaster 944300 Variety Pack of Vacuum-Packaging Storage Bags, 60 Count

Works Great
I own a FoodSaver Vacuum machine and these bags work well with it. This variety pack has a nice selection of bags at a reasonable price. I use my sealer for a lot of things, one of which is re-packaging freeze-dried backpacking food. The original packaging usually has quite a bit of air in the pouch and takes up extra room in the pack. By using a one quart vacuum bag, this is solved and the food can be cooked in and eaten out of the bag.

Surprisingly great quality
I've used a few different brands for vacuum sealing. After I used these though, I didn't realize how little quality the others were. I was shocked. I use these for my dried foods, which most of the time have sharp edges. I wasn't sure if they were going to work, because I have had to double bag everything with all the other brands I've used. However, I didn't have to do that with these bags, at least not on all the foods but one.

The only bad experience I've had thus far is that they lost their seal with dried potatoes. I will say, there hasn't been a bag yet that hasn't lost it's seal with dried cubed potatoes. The edges are like knives. However, I sealed the potatoes in two different bags. The Weston and these. This bag actually lost it's seal much later than the rest. I thought the Weston bags would be the best, but these turned out to be.

The added bonus with buying these is that you can get such a large variety pack. I love the different sizes. I hate the...

Better than theirs
These are heavy gage with a double lined area. The variety pack is really nice for all those storage needs.

EdgeStar 6 Place Setting Countertop Portable Dishwasher - Silver

EdgeStar dishwasher is great!
I have had an EdgeStar dishwasher for around 3.5 years now and I decided it was about time I wrote a review. Why? Because in all this time, this appliance has never given me any trouble and it still works perfectly. I honestly expected to have it for a short time as it's a compact appliance. I did not have much faith in it.

But after this long, I have to say it did surprise me. It still washes dishes quite perfectly. It works better when I remember to put the dry-in liquid in the back. And while it's true that I kind of clean them well before putting them in, it's probably mostly because I am a little OCD. So I haven't tried putting super dirty dishes yet and can't testify on that.

I must say it did work funny once, a couple of years ago, if I remember correctly the water didn't come down. But somehow it corrected itself (!) and this never happened again. Another thing is that you can't fit that much in, so if you have a family of 4-6 it's probably on the small...

Great dish washer
I have used this dish washer several times since purchasing it. The results have been excellent . I live by myself, so I do not have many dishes at a time. I bought the washer after my full size one broke down. This washer gets my dishes very clean, it is also quieter than my old washer. It uses very little water, and so far it has cleaned everything I have put in it. Excellent appliance.

Perfect for a small family
I received this counter-top dishwasher for Christmas, on the same day I was to prepare a standing rib roast, 2 whole chickens, and country style ribs and all the fixings for 10 people. Needless to say, I put this dishwasher through its paces that night. Yes, I had to reload several times, but for once I could entertain while my dishes were being done. I also have to admit I shoved several dishes into the EdgeStar 6 which wasn't necessarily "recommended" by the manufacturer, but they came out sparkling.

I had a little issue with cloudy residue on my dishes which was easily remedied by cutting down my detergent in half (which makes sense, considering the machine itself is half the size of a conventional dishwasher). I had purchased a tub of Cascade complete pacs and found that if I cut them in half and saved the other half for the next washing, the dishes turned out perfectly.

On one occasion, my dishwasher leaked from behind at the hose connection. Now, before...
